Welcome to the Auburn Water District
The Auburn Water District was founded in 1947 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Chapter 585 of the general laws of Massachusetts. In 2004 the Woodland Water District was un-chartered by the Massachusetts Legislature and in 2021 the MassDEP declassified that district’s public water supply identification number. The Auburn Water District assumed operation and maintenance of the former Woodland Water District in 2004. The other district in Auburn is the Elm Hill Water District, which gets its water supply from the City of Worcester.
We are governed and run by one elected board of three water commissioners. Our current water commissioners are:
- Joseph Miller III, Chairman
- Terrance J. Hastings, Vice Chairman
- Alexander Spanos
